Gene Wild > The hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers. It abounds here in San Diego.
Gene Wild > San Diego has more plant species than any other county in the United States. This Agave was photographed at Torry Pines Park.
Gene Wild > The original Casa del Prado was built in 1914 as the Panama California Expositions Food and Refreshment building. In 1967 Bea Evenson formed the committe of 100 to preserve Balboa Parks architecture. Much of the origianal statuary was removed and recast. Richard George Wheeler designed the current buildings incorperating themes from the original structures as well as various other Spanish and Mexican Influances.
